Shawn Nevers of Hunter’s Query posts a handy link to several articles by Kevin Worthen that are available on SSRN. Worthen used to be the dean of the BYU Law School and now is Advancement Vice President of BYU. Some of the articles that might interest Mormon lawyers or law students are The Essence of Lawyering in an Atmosphere of Faith and Religiously Affiliated Law Schools: An Added Dimension.

Jeff Breinholt once again delivers top-rate and entertaining stuff in his series of legal posts on Mormon Matters. In What Mormon Prisoners Want, Jeff examines the sort of prisoner cases filed by Mormon inmates.  Most of them are along the lines of seeking permission to receive religious materials, but some of them are more creative and sensational.

Along those same lines, Jeff’s post Bringing Out the Delusional looks at lawsuits filed by crazy people that involve the Mormon Church. Some of these cases are bizarre or hilarious, but the sad conclusion is that there are quite a few mentally ill people who are “frequent flyers” in the court systems, and at least some of them are paranoid or obsessed with Mormonism.
